last year it was their dark chocolate caramels with sea salt. this year it’s their chocolate dipped joe-joes. every december trader joes magically produces some limited edition item that leaves me frantically scouring the shelves and/or begging the random defenseless TJ employee to search in back for the possibility of a misplaced box of chocolates, and in this year’s case, box of cookies. these are the best store-bought cookies I’ve ever had. seriously. they’ll be off the shelves soon so I really wouldn’t dally. nor would I feel weird about bringing them to a holiday party as your contribution. in fact, I’d feel proud. everyone (and I mean everyone) will thank you. what are they exactly? multi-flavor joe-joes. more specifically- double chocolate, dark chocolate & peppermint stick, peanut butter with milk chocolate and white chocolate ginger covered oreos. I die.

Jay’s in Chicago until sunday night… I’ll be up north for the next two nights for a bachelorette weeked.. but tonight it’s just me, petey, and project runway. AND a total callie meal that I can actually make! I can’t get enough of arugula right now. seriously, it’s my fave. partnered with cilantro lime dressing from trader joes? Aaahhhmazing. so dinner will consist of a giant bowl of arugula with cilantro lime dressing and a little parm followed by a bit of julie’s vanilla bean froyo (my fave frozen treat right now!) with cut up fresh strawberries and whipped cream. a perfect meal just for me. later folks!
