I think I’m pretty late to this party but I started listening to the “mixtapes” on aquariumdrunkard a couple of months ago and I feel like it’s been a life altering discovery. I’ve pretty much officially stopped using my classic ipod, never figured out my shuffle (which I got for xmas and remains unwrapped and in its packaging), and actually think I learned to almost appreciate my iphone (swapped from an android a couple months ago and haven’t been exactly thrilled). for the first time in my life, I’m using my phone like a walkman and I can’t believe how great it works in this capacity.
and whether I’m reading magazines in bed, walking down to our local farmers market, or making my best effort on the treadmill, all I have to do is click on the latest mixtape from AD, and I’m set. it’s like the best indie dj set ever- commercial free, super eclectic, and the best part, it’s instant. no waiting, no shuffling, and no searching. the future is now?
