wut?! I don’t remember this episode!
today’s chilly temperatures had me daydreaming about one of my all time favorite articles of clothing - the leather jacket. the perfect leather jacket is one of those main wardrobe staples that I’m always on the lookout for. I fantasize about owning one that I could basically live in during the cooler months, which can be a good portion of the year here in the bay area.
I thought I had discovered “the one” at urban a few months back, a looser vintage inspired jacket with a silver buckle at the hem. that is, until I spied this one recently on madewell’s website. madewell calls it the “perfect leather motorcycle jacket” and I think it might be. what I like most about it is the black on black hardware and the fitted sleeves. think I’m gonna have to try this guy on asap!
I can’t help it. if I’m home and have a couple hours before I have to head out for a show, there’s nothing I like to do more to get pumped up to see a band then pulling out my favorite albums, pouring myself a drink, and turning up my stereo real, real loud. it’s totally nerdy but it gets me so stoked. especially since these days the thought of staying out past 10 on a weeknight fills me with anxious feelings and concern about not getting a good night’s sleep…
anyway, I haven’t listened to built to spill in ages and now three albums deep, I am so completely excited for this show tonight you have no idea :D
for your x-files party. which for me, has become most evenings in my apartment :)
this is my current fave rosé and not only is it a) affordable ($15), b) convenient to find - just a 5 minute walk down the hill to my local whole foods, and c) super tasty (on the drier side with noticeable strawberry, watermelon, and citrus flavors) but it’s also totally extraterrestrial. there’s a very subtly placed flying saucer on the label (I didn’t even notice it the first couple times I purchased), and a bonus alien on the twist-off cap. far out!
I met her in a club down in old Soho
Where you drink champagne and it tastes just like cherry-cola
this is lola. she lives down the hall in 301 and I’ve spent the last 5 days getting to know her while her mom’s been out of town. it started out a little rough but today she hopped in my lap, let me brush and take a few selfies with her, and seemed generally quite cozy. I’m not exactly sure when michelle’s getting back but I also haven’t asked. not quite ready for this relationship to come to an abrupt halt!
signs of being an adult: late night booze-fueled online shopping binge concludes with the purchase of new ceramic spoon rest.
we get to choose who we let into our weird little worlds.
still one of my favorite lines ever.
to all my dry skin bb’s out there, may I highly recommend this little life changer? made here in the states, out of all natural stuff that is easy to pronounce, smells incredible, and currently 40% OFF with promo code getluminous.
also good for keeping your tattoos vibrant, moisturized, and new looking. I swear by this stuff :)
I know, I know. like I really needed another roll-on fragrance oil. but after reading how moto oud was created to smell like “ a broken down motorcycle in the desert”, how was I not going to be interested?
$38 here: blackbird
welp, we did it. season one down, only 178 episodes to go…
I’ve also decided that the x-files has become my current favorite tv show. I guess it’s kinda a weird time of the year for tv, so it’s been awesome to have such a ridiculously large series to plow through. besides the usual fluff (WWHL, the kardashians, and the housewives), there hasn’t been anything on the tube I’m particularly drawn to. so thanks skulls!
only 20 years late to the party :/
recent additions to my summer reading list (it’s true, there are other books out there than #girlboss)
celebrated this lil lady’s bday today. one of the biggest personalities I know and one of those peeps you definitely want on your side. lucky for me, she always has been. 13 years and counting, if I’ve done the math right :)
love ya stace xo
